My practice is based on the revisualisation of familiar environmental surroundings, to create organically recognisable yet ambiguous forms. Through the intuition present in my making process, I visualise and invent forms reminiscent of this biological world. I translate them through a visual language of colour and form. The forms are biomorphic in nature, meaning that they hold the ability to exhibit the qualities of a living thing; they are a manifestation of life. Whilst being recognisably biomorphic, they remain largely unidentifiable. Resembling my loose methodology towards making, the Bioforms lend themselves to alternative translations and can often be shaped by what the viewer wants to be seen. Through my practice, I aim to merge any conflicts between the false idea of what is natural and what is artificial. I aim for a harmonious practice which reflects upon our shared environment and going back to our natural origins, getting rid of this false persona that we are anything more than natural.

I use my art as an escape, to remind myself about the unseen beauty and details that are so often overlooked, to dive deeper into thought. The common misconception about escapism, in my opinion, is that is must be diverted away from thought. Alternatively, my art is an escape away from societal separations and barriers, so that I can think deeper, purer, and remind myself that I am of no greater importance.
