Close Bioforms

In the last shoot I did some really amazing shots of the sculptures, without any scale, this really made the sculptures appear alive and something of themselves, rather than a passive part of a scene. I was really excited about the shots and had this one close up shot of the green sculptures. This was the only close, focused shot but I really loved it, so I decided to do this shoot with more close, cropped angles.

The cropped angles of the sculptures make them so mysterious and other. They're ambigious but the detail gives them so much texture and physicality at the same time. In my art I like to explore alternative, unique viewpoints and so the close, almost macro viewpoint of these sculptures shows them in a light that wouldnt usually be seen. They're quirky and subjective and the short depth of field really makes you focus on the tiny details.
